History

In 2001, Derrick Evans opened Hevans Scent and became the first to bring Zip lines and the Giant Swing to Jamaica. Not content with being the pioneer of zips and swings, then began Derrick’s campaign to bring paintball to the island. After 8 years of struggle, PaintSplat finally opened up Jamaica to the world of paintball in November 2009!

Advocates of safety and discipline, we’re proud that our safety manual has become the benchmark for Jamaican paintball legislation. Our belief remains that discipline and respect is key in our gun-culture nation.

With new games, fields and concepts being created by the minute (We’re a busy bunch!), PaintSplat is committed to bringing the best of what paintball has to the island, and putting a Jamaican stamp on this addictive action sport!

Our Staff

Set in the village of Free Hill, Hevans Scent and PaintSplat brings much-needed employment to this truly Jamaican community. All our our staff are employed from the village and surrounding areas, and trained from the ground up.

They know the sport well and, just like us, love to see the game spreading across the island! You’ll meet all of them once you arrive, and throughout the day they’ll be on hand for advice, help and, most importantly, your safety!

The only thing that will turn their gorgeous smiles into angry frowns is a player breaking the safety rules (or shooting them!)! So, just as long as you stick to the rules we can keep those smiles on their faces, which we want just as much as you!

Our Facilities!

‘Never a Dull Moment’

At PaintSplat, we are dedicated to giving you only the best in paintball facilities. With the BT4-Combat semi-automatic marker as standard, we are expanding to include a top-level range comprising of only the best pro markers on the market. Not content on the basic marker setups, we have all the extras a paintballer could need including full protection kits, ammo belts and more.

On our site we have refreshments for purchase, restrooms with washing facilities, free parking and access to the beautiful grounds of Hevans Scent; complete with trampolines, childrens swings and gazebos. If you feel like being more adventurous, you can also try your hand at riding the ATVs, Zip lines and Giant Swing for an additional fee.

Our Pitches!

We have 3 pitches here at PaintSplat, all with their own unique feel.They’re perfect for any game scenario and playing out all your inner-Rambo fantasies!

• The Arena

  Our first ever pitch, the Arena is a sight to behold. This speedball pitch is set in the midst of breathtaking scenery, with an ampitheatre cut into the hillside for all our excited spectators to catch the spectacular view. A combination of inflatables, cars and metal screens, the Arena is a challenging and exciting pitch to play!

  

• The Graveyard

  Why “The Graveyard”? Well, this pitch is made entirely from reclaimed materials including window frames, water tanks and tyres to name a few – we’re big on recycling at PaintSplat! With its eerie feel, The Graveyard is perfect for Vitals and Elimination games. The feelings of tensions and anxiety run high on this speedball pitch: with more open spaces and misleading obstacles than the Arena, you have to really be on form, or else you’ll be out quicker than you can say “Ow”!

  

• The Battlefield

  ***COMING SOON*** PaintSplat’s only woodsball pitch, The Battlefield mimics frontline combat more than the other 2 pitches. Feel like a kid again on this woodland slope complete with forts, trees and camo screens! Perfect for longer scenario-based games including attack and defend, hostage situations and more, the Battlefield will test your teamwork, stealth and skill to the limit.

  

• The Target Ranges

  The team at PaintSplat doesn’t rest on their laurels for anyone! We haven’t just 1 target range – oh no – we have two! Forget the boring bull’s eyes than don most paintball sites – we don’t do dull at PaintSplat. Why not practice your aim by marking your hometown on our Jamaica map made entirely out of discarded plastic bottles? Or, why not take a shot at our DVD men and practice your vitals skills? The choice is all yours…
